At Abbott’s Auto Care, we are committed to providing quality workmanship, honest advice, and reliable automotive services. This Refund Policy outlines how refunds, repairs, and remedies are handled in line with Australian Consumer Law.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a service fails to meet acceptable standards.
This includes services that:
- Are not provided with due care and skill
- Are not fit for purpose
- Do not achieve the agreed result
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
When a Refund May Apply
You may be entitled to a refund if:
- A major failure occurs with the service provided
- The issue cannot be fixed within a reasonable time
- The service provided is substantially unfit for its intended purpose
In such cases, you may choose a refund or another appropriate remedy as allowed by law.
Repairs and Remedies
If a problem arises that does not constitute a major failure, Abbott’s Auto Care will, at its discretion:
- Rectify the issue by repairing the fault, or
- Re-perform the service at no additional cost
We aim to resolve any concerns promptly and fairly.
No Refunds in Certain Situations
Refunds will generally not be provided where:
- The issue arises due to normal wear and tear
- The vehicle fault is unrelated to the service performed
- The problem is caused by misuse, neglect, or failure to follow advice provided
- The vehicle has been serviced or repaired by another party after leaving our workshop
- Parts supplied by the customer fail or cause further issues
Diagnostic fees, inspection fees, and labour charges are non-refundable once the service has been performed, unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
Parts and Components
All parts supplied and fitted by Abbott’s Auto Care are covered by applicable manufacturer warranties.
Please note:
- Warranty claims on parts are subject to the terms set by the manufacturer
- Labour associated with warranty replacement may not always be covered unless required by law
- Electrical and electronic components are non-refundable once installed, unless faulty
Cancellations and Booking Changes
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, we ask that you notify us as early as possible.
- Missed appointments or late cancellations may incur a fee
- Any fees will be clearly communicated at the time of booking
How to Request a Refund or Raise a Concern
If you believe there is an issue with a service provided:
- Contact Abbott’s Auto Care as soon as possible
- Provide details of the service and the concern
- Allow us the opportunity to inspect the vehicle and assess the issue
